Give Me the Dodgers

What an impressive first two games for the Dodgers in this World Series matchup against Judge and the Yankees. Well actually, it’s starting to become Soto and the Yankees. Juan Soto has been in the form of his life this postseason. Could he possibly get an Ohtani-like contract? We’ll have to find out and see.
But for now, let’s focus on the Series. LA won Game 1 in extra-innings off of a historic walk-off grand slam from Freddie Freeman; first time that’s ever happened in a WS game. Game 2 was a more assertive win, with Yamamoto only giving up a single hit. Now the Dodgers are up 2-0 in the series. I think the Yankees could steal a couple games, however, and make it go to six. But give me the Dodgers.
Games 3 & 4 will be in the Bronx, and that could really shift some things. The crowd gets into it up there. I think it’s going to be a good series. However, I can’t talk about the Yankees in the postseason without mentioning Aaron Judge’s woes. He gets all these homers and big hits in the regular season, but for some reason doesn’t show up when it really matters. And that’s just got to be aggravating for Yanks fans.
The Dodgers have looked strong all postseason, led by Shohei Ohtani, who’s been a force at the plate this year. Ohtani’s set some crazy records, including breaking the Dodgers' single-season home run mark with 54. Not to mention him founding the 50-50 club.
Overall, this series feels like a true heavyweight fight. Both teams are gunning for history—Dodgers for their eighth title, Yankees for their 28th. With some big names and dramatic moments already, this series could end up being one for the ages. With Game 3 set for Sunday night in New York, the series could either get real interesting or start slipping away for the Yankees. They’ve got to respond fast and get the crowd behind them to keep this series alive. All eyes are on these two teams as we wait to see how the next chapter unfolds.
